About Jennifer Gelinas
~My name is Jennifer Gelinas and I'm from Ithaca, NY where I graduated from highschool in 1997. I began college courses there, focusing on psychology and philosophy. I eventually decided to forgo mainstream education to pursue my own studies in the Metaphysical. I'm now a certified Reiki practitioner, although I'm not currently practicing. I now live in Cortland, NY with my boyfriend of 8 years, Dana (as we don't believe in traditional mairrage) and our 4 year old daughter, Abree.
~I've always been an artist in many forms, including music. I'm proficient in both French Horn and Trumpet. I had been interested in Photo Manipulation for a long time. I had always admired others work in that area, but it seemed like such a complicated process. But, in late November 2011, I decided to give it a go and try to learn. I looked around the net, got some info, and figured out what kind of program I needed. I stumbled on a few that had the tools I needed, but I wasn't very happy with the interface. Then, I got photoshop. I ate, drank, and slept it (well, not much sleep, actually...lol). I poured my heart and soul into learning what I had so admired in other's work.
~Finally, I reached a goal that I thought was completely unatainable. I truly realized this on April 4th when I was honored with a Daily Deviation for my work "Tree Of Life" on deviantART.
